Biography

Amanda Skarlupka is a recent graduate from the University of Georgia, and she has completed an M.S. in Biostatistics and Epidemiology and a Ph.D. in Infectious Diseases. During this, she developed pre-clinical influenza vaccines for NIAID's CIVICs program. Other projects have included mathematical modeling of the immune system, analyzing immune system responses to vaccination to predict protective efficacy, and quantifying the antigen binding breadth of antibodies. Her goals as a PMF fellow include learning about 1.) the potential indicators that our bodies present before cancer development, 2.) how to utilize that data to generate informative and actionable results, and 3.) the DCP community and the ongoing and future projects.
