Biography

Lev Sirota, Ph.D. [C], is a Mathematical Statistician in the Biometry Research Group on contract with Kelly Government Solutions.

Dr. Sirota provides statistical review of Division protocols and concepts, including protocols for the NCI Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP). Prior to joining the Biometry Research Group, Dr. Sirota was a Mathematical Statistician at the Food and Drug Administration in the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research where he reviewed license applications for vaccines and bioassays and intensively collaborated on various scientific projects with researchers from product offices. His current research interests include clinical trials, model selection, multiplicity, and measurement error. His other areas of expertise include bioassay, statistical genetics, pharmacokinetics, and kinetics of biological processes such as cell proliferation and blood coagulation.

Dr. Sirota earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Moscow Lomonosov University and Scientific Research Institute of Pharmacology in Russia and continued his research training at the National Cancer Institute as a postdoctoral fellow and later research fellow.
