Cancer Data Access System (CDAS)

The Cancer Data Access System (CDAS) is a submission and tracking system for researchers to request data from various research studies. For some studies, images and biospecimens are also available to request. The following studies are currently available on CDAS:

  • National Lung Screening Trial (NLST)
  • Prostate, Lung, Colorectal and Ovarian Cancer Screening Trial (PLCO)
  • Interactive Diet and Activity Tracking in AARP (IDATA)
  • Early Phase Prevention Trials (EPPT: 2012 Consortia)

Investigators can register with CDAS and request access to data, images, and biospecimens from these studies. All requests are reviewed by NCI trial leadership. Upon approval, investigators will be granted access to the requested data for a limited period.

CDAS provides extensive documentation for each trial, including a summary of the trial, a description of the data collected, and a searchable list of approved research projects and publications with CDAS study data. Users will also find a list of CDAS news, which lists funding opportunities.
