The annual symposium is held each fall and provides for a day of scientific exchange in the area of cancer prevention, offering the opportunity for fellows to discuss their projects, ideas, and potential future collaborations.

The NCI Cancer Prevention Fellowship Program (CPFP), which supports postdoctoral research and leadership training, is accepting applications for the fellows’ cohort that starts in 2021.

The application period is open until August 17, 2020, for researchers, scientists, or clinicians with a demonstrated interest in cancer prevention. This multidisciplinary fellowship welcomes applicants from a wide range of scientific backgrounds, including biomedical sciences, behavioral sciences, nursing, medicine, health services, psychology, nutritional sciences, pharmacology, toxicology, biostatistics, engineering, translational science, public health, and others.

The program offers competitive stipends; relocation expenses; health insurance benefits; travel allowances; support for up to 4 years; an opportunity to earn an M.P.H. sponsored by NCI; research opportunities with experienced NCI mentors; and a cohort of fellows spanning STEM and other fields.

Testimonials about the experience from former CPFP fellows can be viewed here. Learn more about how to apply.
