Intramural Studies

Dr. Szabo is also collaborating on an intramural pilot study of pioglitazone in adults undergoing surgical resection of non-small cell lung cancer. Patients slated for surgery will take the drug for 2 to 6 weeks, after which biomarkers in tumor and benign/premalignant tissue will be examined.
