Hotel and Travel

Sleeping rooms are not being held in a room block. You are required to contact the hotel of your choice and make your own reservations. Please see the Hotel Information page on this Web site for a list of area hotels close to the Neuroscience Center Building. In addition, you are responsible for making your own travel/flight arrangements. You are responsible (through your grants) for payment of hotel, travel, and ground transportation.

Security

The Neuroscience Center Building will have a list of names of people attending this workshop. You must bring a photo ID with you to the building. Please plan to get to the workshop a few minutes early, since it may take a few minutes to go through security.

Parking

Parking at the Neuroscience Center Building is $8/day.

Lunch

You are on your own for lunch. The cafeteria in the Neuroscience Center Building is open from 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Below is a list of restaurants within walking distance of the Neuroscience Center Building. Coffee and light refreshments will be provided at the workshop.

Other Transportation

Metro Subway

DCA is the only area airport with immediate access to the Metro subway system. The Neuroscience Center Building is located on the Red Line of the Metro at the White Flint Station. From Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, proceed to the Metro level (up two escalators) and take the Blue Line toward the Addison Road-Seat Pleasant Station. At the Metro Center Station, transfer to the Red Line in the direction of the Shady Grove Station. You may also take the Yellow Line from DCA toward the Mt Vernon Sq 7th St-Convention Center Station and transfer to the Red Line toward the Shady Grove Station at the Gallery Pl-Chinatown Station. Exit the Metro at the White Flint Station and proceed up the escalator to Rockville Pike/Marinelli Street. Take Marinelli Street to Executive Boulevard and turn right. The Neuroscience Center Building is 1 block away at 6001 Executive Boulevard. Amtrak

Take the Amtrak train to Union Station, Washington DC. At Union Station, you may access the Metro subway's Red Line. Take the Red Line toward the Shady Grove Station. Exit the train at the White Flint Station and proceed up the escalator to Rockville Pike/Marinelli Street. Take Marinelli Street to Executive Boulevard and turn right.
