Step 5: Closing Out a Cancer Prevention Clinical Trial
Biologic Specimens
Biologic specimens collected during the conduct of each clinical trial that are not used during the course of the study will be considered deliverables under the contract and thus be considered the property of the National Cancer Institute (NCI). At study completion, NCI reserves the option to either retain or relinquish ownership of the unused biologic specimens. If NCI retains ownership of specimens, the Investigator will collect, verify, and transfer the requested biologic specimens from the site to a NCI-specified repository or laboratory at NCI's expense.
NCI has ownership of all tissues collected during the study.
